From the sellerThis cradle was acquired from an estate sale in Verona, Wisconsin. Based on its construction, decorative detailing, and materials, it is believed to date from approximately 1880–1915. Southern Wisconsin communities such as Verona, Mount Horeb, and New Glarus were settled by Norwegian, German, and other European immigrant farming families who frequently crafted or commissioned furniture locally and passed it down through generations. While the exact maker is unknown, this piece displays characteristics consistent with a Wisconsin farmhouse heirloom.
