From the sellerThis beautiful hand specimen includes sheets of Native Silver on Smoky Quartz matrix with Muscovite. The silver is exceptionally bright, and the crystalline quartz naturally focuses light onto the untarnished silver, creating a seldom seen mirror-flash effect. Pearly Muscovite inclusions, which originally protected the silver from tarnish, enhance this optical effect, and add beautiful mineralogical depth to this unique specimen. This specimen comes from the Carolina Slate Belt, specifically the Fall Line Zone in North Carolina.
