Gorgeous Daniel Dupuis 1900 Paris Exposition Monnaie de Paris Bronze Medal Offering a medal by Daniel Dupuis, struck for the 1900 Paris Exposition. It has been struck in bronze and is 50 mm (2") in diameter. The obverse is a putto leaning on an old screw press of the type used for striking coins and medals, at that time. He holds a torch in one hand and a medal in the other. Various implements of medal making are about; dies, collar, scales and an easel in the background with a plaster model displayed. The reverse is an angelic figure writing "1900" in a book, with a cherub watching her.
