Christy Mathewson Game Used Ball (1920)

Christy Mathewson was pitching in an exhibition game in Syracuse, New York. A player hit this ball out of the park. It hit a high line wire and my great-grandfather got the ball. He took this ball to the locker room and sent it in to get Christy Mathewson to sign it. It came out this way. His name is obviously printed and dated on the ball. We always thought it was signed by Christy Mathewson, however, all his signatures are written in cursive. This is the story of this ball.
