Captain Maurice Rossi and Lieutenant Paul Codos, French transatlantic fliers and holders of the world's long distance non-stop record, landed their big monoplane, the Joseph Lebrix, just before the evening of June 13, 1934, at the Municipal Airport (now Midway), completing a trip from Montreal.
