From the sellerThis is a vintage linen postcard, unposted and featuring a view of the Capitol Theatre and Capitol Building in Singapore. he postcard likely dates back to the 1950s, showing a film screening advertisement for "Johnny Weissmuller in The Lost Tribe", which debuted in 1949. Located at the junction of Stamford Road and North Bridge Road, it was originally built in the 1930s and was known for being the first purpose-built "talkie" cinema in Singapore.The building was purchased by the Shaw in 1946 and later rebranded as the Shaws Building. Postcard may have normal wear associated with old postcards such as creases and bent corners. See pics for details and conditions. Reasonable offers will be considered.
