Residents who came here in pioneer days are protesting county and state efforts to make them show ownership of property that they settled before California became a state and to tax and title the residents into the hands of land lawyers and politicians who want to sell them a legitimate state title to their homesteaded lands. NO date on this handbill: paper type and format of print suggests early 1860s? Easily repaired. SIZE: 9 x 14", blank back. RARE, indeed
