A matched pair of unpolished dendritic agate slabs from Sheep Springs in the El Paso mountains. This area has a rich mining history. These agate slabs. are mostly monochromatic, although a small red highlight is visible on one of the slabs, as well as a small area with fortification-lines. I like to call this "composition book" agate. This material is very hard and workable. The slabs are roughly 2"x2" at their widest points and about 1/4" thick and weigh 65 grams together. Photos are taken wet and dry, the photo on the scale is dry.
