Description
From the seller1880's-90's cabinet card showing a Buffalo Bill Cody look alike. I was told that Buffalo Bill's Wild West show was so popular that, since the show could not be everywhere, there was a need for Buffalo Bill Cody look alikes to fill in for the real thing. Also, there were knockoff productions of Wild West shows that were convincing enough to fool small town crowds into believing they saw the real Buffalo Bill. Someone wrote "Show Man" on the back in pencil and I am certain that writing is from the period. Also included is a 2014 topps Allen & Ginter card of Buffalo Bill
