George Ehret Ruppert (1875–1948) was a third-generation brewer and the son of Jacob Ruppert Sr., the brewery's founder. George Ruppert brother of Jacob Ruppert. This bronze plaque, dated May 16, 1940, honors George E. Ruppert, who was then the president of the Jacob Ruppert Brewery in New York City.
