Brigadier General (retired) Charles Fred Smith of Plano, Texas passed away on July 30, 2021, surrounded by his family; he was 84 years old. Fred is survived by his wife, Virginia; his children Tracee Potter, Stacee Walker, Derrick Smith, Stuart Smith, Chris Smith, and BrianHubbard; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
