Description
From the sellerUp for bids is a brass snuff box with the words The ECLIPSE has a engraving of a steamboat has the New Orleans packet Eclipse on the wheelhouse. Looks to be flying the American flag. The box is heart shaped just about 4 inches wide and about an inch deep box does have some small corrosion. Please see pictures for details. Also, the box has a small dent at the top of the box right by eclipse. Hinge works fine box opens and close as well no makers mark hard to say what eclipse this this could be from one of the first eclipse steamboats was started in 1852 sank in 1860. But there were others. I do not end sales early. I do not ship outside the USA.
