General George Armstrong Custer and Chief Sitting Bull were key adversaries in the 1876 Battle of the Little Bighorn, a defining moment in the Plains Indian Wars. Sitting Bull’s alliance of Lakota, Cheyenne, and Arapaho forces defeated Custer’s 7th Cavalry in a decisive victory on June 25, 1876, killing Custer and over 200 men, though it resulted in increased U.S. efforts to subdue the tribes. This piece is unblemished and unused.
