From the seller
This photograph shows significant bomb damage to the Berlin Cathedral. A destroyed British WWI-era Mark V tank, likely a trophy from Smolensk, is visible in the foreground. The main dome suffered severe damage when an incendiary bomb struck it in 1944, causing the spire to collapse. Restoration of the cathedral did not begin until 1975, with final re-inauguration occurring in 1993
