Bedouin Headpiece 

This pair of headpieces was bought by me in Saudi Arabia in the early 1980s. They were probably made in Yemen before the 1960s. They are made from low-grade silver and were used by women to hang as a head covering when dressing up for special occasions. The main section is covered with filigree bands, is hollow and open at the bottom end. They are 12 inches long. The little ring above the main section had two black stones and a red stone originally. A matching pair like this is hard to find.  this pair of headpieces weigh 154.7 g or 5.455 ounces.
