Beatrix Potter Squirrel Nutkin figurine

This pattern was copyrighted in 1948 but this model was probably made in the 1980's when I got him. However, the cautionary tale is from 1903 and is about Nutkin, a sassy red squirrel ( is there any other kind?) who teased the old owl who eventually caught him and was about to eat him when he escaped through a window but without his tail. the moral of the story?? Don't mess with old owls or old humans. There are painters marks on the bottom and the little fellow has his tale in this rendition. Please look at the photos and ask questions before bidding as there is no return on him. Payment is due four days after the end of the auction. Upon receipt, I try to ship within two days.
