Authentic Ship’s Wheel manufactured by Mactaggart Scott & Co., Edinburgh

Diameter: 34 inches Weight: Approximately 43 lbs The wheel retains its original brass hub with clearly legible maker’s mark and shows consistent wear and patina indicative of genuine maritime use with no obvious restoration. We believe this wheel was associated with vessels involved in laying undersea cable (roughly 1910-1930) although we currently have documentation to formally verify this provenance. The piece is structurally solid and presents very well as both a functional artifact and display item.
