Antique Victorian Cast Iron 16th/17thC Medieval Knight Armour Life-size Gauntlet

…… OK! We give up! We searched the internet, and we were only able to find one other example of an antique Cast Iron Knight's Armor Gauntlet made like the example we are listing tonight. We have determined that it was most likely a Grand Tour-period souvenir and could be displayed on the table or wall. It certainly has a great decorative look. This large 14” long by 4 1/2" wide life-sized Cast Iron Gauntlet was once covered in nickel plating, which is now heavily worn, revealing the darkened iron beneath. The thumb is a separate casting and is hinged in place however the fingers are cast along with the rest of the glove and do not bend or move.
