Antique Victorian Cast Iron 16th/17thC Medieval Knight Armour Gauntlet Glove NR

We recently listed a Cast Iron Knights Gauntlet just like this auction, they came together but becase they were both left hands we decided to split them up. The first one is doing so well we decided to list the second one! …… We searched the internet, and we were only able to find one other example of an antique Cast Iron Knight's Armor Gauntlet made like the example we are listing tonight. We have determined that it was most likely a Grand Tour-period souvenir and could be displayed on the table or wall. It certainly has a great decorative look. This large 14” long by 4 1/2" wide life-sized Cast Iron Gauntlet was once covered in nickel plating, which is now heavily worn, revealing the darkened iron beneath.
