From the sellerAntique authentic, not a reproduction railroad lantern. Model Background: Introduced in the post-WWI era, the "Model 1925" was the Armspear Manufacturing Company's first entry into the short globe lantern market. Design Details: It features a distinct rectangular strip lid latch riveted directly to the top frame. This design element was later adopted by Adams & Westlake (Adlake) when Armspear eventually contracted them to produce their lanterns. Markings: The top cap of this piece is typically stamped with "ARMSPEAR MANF'G CO / NEW YORK / 1925".
