Antique Norwegian Rosemaled Viksdal Tine Box Western Norway Scandinavian 1800s

This is a wonderful piece of Norwegian folk art, a rosemaling decorated pantry box, or tine, done in the Viksdal style of Western Norway. It is nicely sized, making it easy to display or use for storage. It has a superb traditional Viksdal hand painted rosemaled design. Viksdal painted items are highly desirable and eagerly sought after with their prices skyrocketing. This box measures 10 inches by 6 inches and has a total height of 3.25 inches. The painting is all original and dates to the 1800s. Overall, this is a very nice box with interesting and aesthetically appealing decorative elements, impressive condition, and great folk art appeal.
