This 7.5” antique commemorative souvenir plate from the store of Bliss & Nye celebrates the 100th anniversary of New Bedford,Mass in 1887. It features the scene at the bottom of Union St at the intersection with Water street, which at the time was only a stones throw to the harbor and docks that held the cities whaling and fishing fleets. It is in good condition other than a fading border in spots.
