Antique Mother Of Pearl Thread Winder * Chinese* Engraved Monogrammed

This is an antique Chinese mother-of-pearl thread winder, likely dating from the 19th century. It features delicate hand-carved floral motifs on its snowflake-shaped edges and a central scene. There is a very ornate monogram on the reverse which I believe has the initials AWP or AWS. Such items were used for winding silk thread and also served as counters in games like Pope Joan. I have another nearly identical one with a slightly different engraved scene. Feel free to look at the other listing if you’d like both.
