Antique Marble Shooter

I really know nothing about this marble shooter except that it belonged to my great grandfather. I am in my mid sixties so that would definitely place this marble into the mid to late 1800’s as my grandfather was born in 1910 and this marble belonged to his father. It appears to be stone of some sort and does have pitting around it. I’m not an expert by any means but maybe someone out there knows what this is and will want to add to their collection?
