Description

From the seller
This antique double-handled open sugar bowl from occupied Japan features a classic white and black design. The double handles provide easy transport and serving of sugar, adding a touch of elegance to any tea or coffee ceremony. The craftsmanship and history behind this piece make it a unique and valuable addition to any collection of Asian antiques. It measures almost 4 1/2” from handle to handle x 3” tall to the top of the handle and the bottom is 2”wide by just over 1” width. There are no chips or cracks, but there is some crazing and staining around the upper ridge if the bowl. Some of the black pain is worn off on the handles and around the rim.
