…… This is for a rare, antique Oak Barrel Syrup Dispenser which retains its original decals which read "LIBERTY Root Beer, 5c, Big Stein”. Liberty Root Beer was a New York company which produced Root Beer Syrup in the early 20th century by the Richardson Corporation. Famous for its slogan "The Creamy Kind," the soda was prominently sold in wooden barrel-shaped syrup dispensers at soda fountains across the United States circa 1920-30s. This dispenser measures 15” tall by 9 ½” diameter and as you can see still retains its original paw feet, push button spigot and six brass rings. It is however missing its original wood cover which has been replaced by an old stoneware one, which is avery good fit.
