The laurel leaves are picked out in deep cobalt with gold outlining — an elegant neoclassical design. Backstamp: gold "L" laurel-wreath mark (the mark Lenox introduced in 1930), "Made in U.S.A.," with a hand-painted decorator's pattern number on the reverse — indicating a custom-decorated service/cabinet plate rather than standard production.
