Antique Large 7.5" Round Celluloid & Tin Button Photo Victorian Child Fancy

These button pictures were usually remembrance pieces of some event (birth, wedding, graduation, death) but it’s impossible to know for certain the nature of this one. It has a tin back which is wrapped in celluloid which is brightly colored and has ruby, flowers, lilly pads and a tree. The ruby is the girl's birthstone and the flowers are her birth flower. The photo is applied on top and you can feel the edges around the photo. The photo itself is very sweet. A nice example.On the back is a wire stand so you can sit it on a table but you could also add some wire so it could hang on the wall.The whole piece measures about 7.5 inches in diameter and is in perfect condition with no breaks in the celluloid and no scratches.
