Description
From the sellerThe smith would have split the original single tang, twisted each of the two resulting supports in a decorative way, and then riveted them to the finished blade. When you run your hand over the flat sides of the blade, you can feel one or two faint ripples caused by slag inclusions in the iron, a natural feature after it has been heated and has incurred aging (Photos 2, 7, and 8).
