Description
From the sellerThis is an antique, hand-forged iron, single gate pintle ~10" long. It is a support for gate hinges like the ones shown. I found this in the Adirondack woods along an old road long reclaimed by nature. These were pounded into posts or trees to support a gate. As you can see, the end is bent or curled around. This may have been intentional if it exited the other side of the post, or it hit a hard spot.
