This is a china head doll engraved with the name Princess on the back of the shoulder plate. The cloth body is in excellent condition and may be a replacement. Clothes are nice but need some cleaning. The blonde hair has a painted hair net on the back called a snood. This is a difficult feature to find and this could be l870 to 1900 era and possibly German made. The boots are also painted with painted ribbons on the upper legs.
