From the seller…… This auction is for an Early 20th Century Urn-Shaped Art Pottery Lamp made by Muncie Pottery. Muncie Art Pottery traces its origins to the German-American Clay Company, founded in 1915, before becoming Muncie Pottery in 1919. The company became well known for its Art Pottery, featuring colorful matte and drip glazes developed by artists including A.E. Trifonoff and James Wilkins. Examples of Muncie Pottery are not as common as other american art pottery because they were only in production untill the factory closed in 1939.. ... The Lamp has always veen a lamp and was not made from a vase. It features a green over pink drip glaze with stylized Scottish Terrrier Handles.
