From the seller**Item:** Antique Doulton Burslem Aesthetic Movement Ewer / Pitcher **Circa:** 1886–1891 (Based on the Doulton Burslem crown backstamp lacking the word "England") **Country of Origin:** United Kingdom (Staffordshire) **Dimensions:** Approximately 7 inches tall **Features & Craftsmanship:** * Features the rare "Chine" lace-impressed textile clay texturing technique patented by Henry Doulton & John Slater. * Distinctive bright yellow/mustard bulbous body covered in a lacy gold scrolling floral overlay. * Elegant puce/magenta enameled pouring spout with heavy gold gilt highlights. * Stylized, high-arched aesthetic bronze-toned ceramic handle. * Stamped on the bottom with the Doulton Burslem crown mark and "U.S. PATENT 314.002" (granted March 17, 1885).
