Description
From the sellerI don't know much about this domed butter dish other than my mother always told me it was "very old"(She lived to be 100). It is quite possible it belonged to her parents or grandparents(who immigrated to the US from Austria). The old glass base has a piece broke off, and the inside rim of the butter bowl has nicks. The lid is in excellent condition. I would describe it as having a "sun" pattern with scalloped edges. It looks like the gold coloring has faded over the years. It is still a cool piece to display.
