Antique Armless Sewing Rocker (often referred to as a nursing rocker or slipper rocking chair), styled in the traditional Boston Rocker or Hitchcock tradition. These chairs were purposefully built without arms to give women the freedom of movement required to nurse infants, knit, or sew without obstruction. The name on the bottom of the chair reads P. Rohland.
