Antique 19thC ROSEWOOD & Nickel Keys 6-Key Piccolo Flute Woodwind Instrument NR

…… This auction is for an antique 19th-century Six-Key Rosewood Piccolo Flute with nickel keys. We searched carefully but were unable to find a maker’s mark. What we can tell you is that it is constructed in three sections, with carved wood shoulders and measures 12 1/4" long when assembled. There is one small nickel ring missing near one of the holes. The keys all function properly, however the instrument will need new cork pads. Also in our close-up photographs you will see some fine shrinkage lines to the smallest center section; the section with the hole and the small cap at one end.
