Antique 19thC Miniature Austrian Sterling Silver Reclining Nude Woman Sculpture

…… When we first saw this very well-cast Miniature Austrian Silver Sculpture, we thought for sure it was Bergmann, because he made a series of very similar Bronze Sculpture, but this figure is solid sterling silver. We have searched several differnet way and we cannot find where Franze Bergmann every made miniature sculpture is solid silver. This example is marked “Austrian Sterling,” with a tiny maker’s hallmark that is difficult to read. It may be Austrian Silver mark or a maker's signature but we have not been able to indentify it. This antique, early 20th century Miniature Reclining Nude Woman measures only 3 ¼” long by 1” wide by ¾” tall and weighs 2.30 troy ounces. She is is original condition with a natural oxidized patina. There are some tiny scuff and dings to the surface, but that’s it.
