Description
From the seller6" by 7 1/2 ecru ruled paper dated July 15, 1871, sent to hardware merchants in Macon ordering 20 pounds of three penny nails. These would have been sent by train to Eatonton. James Whitfield Hargrove (1829-1899) was the son of Rebecca Rosser and Benjamin Coleman Hargrove and had a plantation in Putnam County, Georgia. Paper soiled and with several tears.
