From the sellerThis 10" antique covered sugar bowl from the 1800s by William Cleveland in Norwich, CT, is a rare piece crafted from coin silver (.900), showcasing a Neo-Classical/Federal style. The piece is marked in three places on the base WC in plain block letters and could possibly mean William Cleveland of Norwich, CT. It has a C monogram on the front in light feathery script. The finial is a little loose and the rim of the lid has a few small dents. Otherwise, it is Vg condition for a piece of this age. It weighs around 544 grams. Made in the United States during the late 18th to early 19th century, this piece is a valuable addition for collectors of silver antiques. With intricate details and a historical charm, this piece is sure to be a standout in any collection.
