It also was produced 1840 Also this listing is only for domestic sale A fantastic American portrait miniature of a seated young man wearing spectacles c1840 in later frame with original gilt metal mat. The miniature looks very much like the work of Sarah Goodridge. It appears to be signed or noted reverse backing card but it is illegible to me. The miniature does have an old crack to the left side of the sitter, not affecting the face, with old competent repair. The miniature displays most excellently. Sight size is 2 3/4" x 2".
