Mix of colors and cell sizes, Fluoresces under shortwave UV Macro and Normal photos used with different light sources to show range of colors and patterns. Multiple photos used to show item. shown wet & measures approx. 7/8" x 3.4" x 1/2"+/- lot J2 Most agatized gem bone is from the Jurassic era. In most cases the actual species is unknown. Gem bone can be found in every color imaginable, and with a mix of minerals. The most highly sought is agate replacement, although numerous minerals are found in gem bone. Pyrite, calcite, hematite and even amethyst and citrine is known. One of the rarer more popular patterns is full fortifications within the cell walls.
