ACEO Original OIL Pastel Landscape Sunset, Meadow Field Dreamy Abstract Clouds

Earlier this spring, I was driving home after hanging out with a friend when the sunset stopped me in my tracks. The sky was layered with soft blues, warm peach, and glowing gold, and I knew I had to save the moment before it disappeared. I snapped a photo, and that drive home stayed with me long enough to turn into this tiny painting. Instead of recreating the photo exactly, I wanted to capture the feeling of that evening—the quiet road, the open field, and those few minutes when the whole sky seemed to glow. This original ACEO (2.5” × 3.5”) was created by hand using oil pastels, embracing their rich color and expressive texture to bring that memory to life. I hope it brings the same sense of peace and wonder that I felt on the drive home.
