6 Vintage Signed Hand Carved Boxwood Japanese Meiji Era Mice Koi Netsukes NR

…… This auction is for six Vintage Meiji Era Hand-Carved Boxwood Japanese Netsukes. There are lots of vintage netsukes on today's market; however, these are much nicer than the average examples. As you can see, they are very detailed and well carved, and many have small inlaid black glass eyes. All are in excellent condition with no damages or restorations, and they retain a nice warm patina. Several are artist signed, and each measures approximately 1” long. Three depict mice. One has a single mouse lying in the back of a traditional mask, while the other two each have a pair of mice, one in a bowl and the other in a slipper. There is also a goat, a hedgehog, and a pair of koi fish. To make sure some eBayer is able to add these six early 20th Century Carved Netsukes to their collection, we have listed them without any reserve.
