6” Tahitian Pearl Oyster Pinctada/ White Mother Of Pearl/Iridescent Yellow/Blue

The product is a 6" Tahitian Pearl Oyster Pinctada shell, originating from French Polynesia, specifically Tahiti. It features beautiful iridescent yellow and blue on a white opalescent mother of pearl. This unique and exotic shell gathered in the 1950 would make a stunning addition to any collection of abalone shells. Its curved shape is perfect as a little dish as well. This is a saltwater half shell from a pearl oyster. I do not have the other one. It weights 13 Ozs , nearly a pound and it raises to 1 and 1/2 inch on a table. The reverse looks like a multi layered rock. It looks striking in a powder room as a soap dish as the nacre reflects the light beautifully. A collection piece becoming very rare.
