This is a genuine Fourth Issue Fractional Currency 50 Cent note, Friedberg #1374, featuring the Iconic portrait of Abraham Lincoln. It carries the Large Red Treasury Seal and is signed by Allison and Spinner. Graded PCGS Banknote 63 Choice Uncirculated, with a notation for minor adhesive residue. These fractional notes were issued between 1869 and 1875 during the post-Civil War period when small change was in short supply.
