42” HOBBIT SWORD made by C.C. Beck, made of all wood! C.C. Beck (1910-1989) was best known for his work on Captain Marvel at Fawcett Comics. Beck created a line of custom-made prop weapons inspired by Tolkien's LORD OF THE RINGS that he sold as special creations. These Beck weapon creations rarely come up for sale – I have only found records of three that were offered by Hake’s in 2023. Beck signed some examples; this one is not signed. This sword comes with a copy of a 1976 letter sent by Beck to Jack Butterworth (who bought this from Beck). Priced to sell with NO RESERVE! Will combine shipping on multiple lots! Shipping will be a bit higher than you would expect given the weight b/c I am going to have this packed by UPS as I have nothing that would fit the sword.
