23 Antique US Navy WWII Identification South Salem Miniature Ship Model Set NR

…… This auction is for a set of 23 Miniature Models of WWII U.S. Navy Ships used to teach the profiles of ships for identification. They are stamped on the bottom by the manufacturer “South Salem Studios” of Salem, New York, a known producer of WWII U.S. Navy identification ship models circa 1941–1943. These models are made of white metal and mounted on wood bases, which are also stamped on the bottoms with the ship names. The boats measure between 6" long and 1 1/2” long and are in good condition, retaining their original gray and blue painted surfaces.
