From the sellerA 2008 Latvian 1 santims coin, encapsulated by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) and graded as Brilliant Uncirculated. The santims was the subunit of the Latvian lats, which served as the official currency of Latvia. The lats was first introduced in 1922 and then reintroduced in 1993 after the country regained independence from the Soviet Union. Latvia adopted the Euro as its official currency on January 1, 2014, making coins from the final years of the lats, such as this 2008 issue, highly sought after by collectors of modern European numismatics. Clearly, under specifications, the grading is incorrect, eBay will not let me pass it without adding a letter grade which this one does not have
