From the seller(2) Between 1884-1894, the firm of Kurz & Allison produced 36 Civil War scenes. This scene of the Death of General Lyon at the Battle of Wilson’s Creek on August 10th, 1861, was produced in 1863. 1) The John Ray House, built in 1851, was used as a Southern field hospital following the Battle of Wilson’s Creek, August 10th, 1861.
