Description
From the sellerThese are two unusual old clock keys, very early, unlike the usual clock keys which have a hollow end which fits over a shaft in the clock, these have a solid end which fits into a shaped recess in the clock. One key has a triangular solid end, about 5/32" across the triangle face. The other has a solid square end, just short of 1/8" across the flats, or just over 3/32". This square one looks like it is slightly tapered. Presumably they are both for smaller early clocks. These are both about 1 3/4" long. There is a current listing for a similar key with a triangular end, which mentions black powder wheel lock, although I cannot imagine a weapon which would need a loose key to use it. I would appreciate any info on the application for these.
